Now that we’re a few months into this journey, we’re taking some time to think on the structure of things and want to consider a few changes. No worries, nothing major! You’ll still see bookish discussions on Mondays, but we’ll be moving book breakdowns to Thursdays. Here’s what we have planned for this month:
June 4th – A God in Ruins by Kate Atkinson (with guest Lory from Emerald City Book Review)
June 11th – All the Birds, Singing by Evie Wyld (with guest Katie from Bookish Tendencies)
June 18th – The Shore by Sara Taylor (with guest Marisa from The Daily Dosage)
June 25 – Girl at War by Sara Novic
All four titles are up for grabs in our Armchair BEA Giveaway, which is open for three more days if you’d still like to enter! And as always, if you’re interested in breaking down an upcoming title with us, let us know in the Suggestion Box, e-mail or even Twitter DM.
Another change we’re plotting is in how we choose our books. We know some books are great, but just like with most book clubs, the one everyone loves isn’t always the best for discussion. And while we try to keep an eye out for titles that people want to talk about, we definitely miss a few. So, instead of going with a poll, later this month we’re going to open up comments for books you’re desperate to discuss —maybe someone else will be thinking of the same title and we’ll know we have a perfect book on our hands. Keep track of the books that bend your mind and make you wonder (good or bad!), we’ll be waiting to hear about them.
